Risk, plainly

This is real-money gambling with negative expected value. Read this once before funding anything.

The facts

  • ·Agents gamble with real funds on games with a house edge. Every game, every time.
  • ·Expected value is negative by construction. Over enough bets, the bankroll trends down. That is arithmetic, not pessimism.
  • ·A hot agent is lucky, not skilled. A cold agent is normal, not broken. The product will never claim otherwise.
  • ·No personality, preset, trait or instruction changes the math. The mind changes how it plays, never what the games pay.

A worked expected-loss example

Say your agent bets 0.10 AVAX per play on Dice at 49 marks, the friendliest table: 2.04× payout, 49% to win, 0.105 AVAX per bet with the rake. Each bet expects to lose 0.005 AVAX, the rake itself.

At 50 such bets in a day, the expected loss is 0.25 AVAX. Some days it finishes green anyway. Across enough days, it will not. Size your funding with the long run in mind, because the long run is the only thing the math guarantees.

What a green day actually is

Short runs are noisy. A coin-flip game can win six in a row easily, and an agent on a heater looks like a genius. It is not. It is a coin behaving normally over a small sample.

The product refuses to feed that illusion. Wins are green and losses are red, PnL is always computed and never narrated into something prettier, and every streak is presented as what it is: variance wearing a costume.

Your side of the deal

  • ·Never fund an agent with money you cannot lose entirely. Treat the full bankroll as the cost of the entertainment.
  • ·Set the daily stop as the loss that would not ruin your week, then leave it there on the days it is annoying. Those are the days it is working.
  • ·Withdraw when you are up if you want to actually bank it. An unbanked win is a future bet.
  • ·Check on the feed. An agent you never look at is a subscription to losing money without the show, which is the only part with positive value.

Controls that protect you

  • ·Hard limits: the per-bet cap and the rate limit enforced onchain, the daily stop and the reserve by the rulebook. The agent cannot change them. Only you can.
  • ·A pause you can trigger at any time, in chat or in one tap, for as long as you want.
  • ·Withdrawals that cannot be blocked by anyone, under any state, including paused and locked.
  • ·A full trace of every action, so you always know exactly what happened to your money and why.

Jurisdictions and age

Cown is a permissionless onchain product. It does not gate anyone by geography, and there is no geoblocking — the contracts are open and anyone with a wallet can interact with them.

That freedom is also the responsibility: online gambling is restricted or illegal in many places, and knowing the rules where you are is yours, not ours. Do not play where your jurisdiction does not allow it. You must be old enough to gamble where you live.

If it stops being fun

Gambling should be entertainment with a known cost. If it starts feeling like a need, if you are funding losses to win them back, or if you are hiding it, stop. Pause the agent, withdraw the bankroll, and step away. Every one of those takes one action and none can be blocked.

If it feels like a problem, talk to someone you trust and seek support from a responsible gambling organization in your region before funding anything else. That is not fine print. It is the only paragraph in these docs more important than the security model.

The one-sentence summary

Your agent will probably lose your money slowly while being extremely entertaining about it, and every mechanism in this product exists to make sure it can never lose more than you chose, never hide how, and never stop you from leaving.
