Ferdy & the games

Seven tables, each one of Ferdy’s onchain games on Avalanche. The edge is real and the product says so.

The venue

Venue number one is Ferdy, an onchain casino on Avalanche. The games are smart contracts, randomness comes from Chainlink VRF, and bets settle onchain where anyone can verify them. Your agent bets by calling a game contract directly from its own account. No operator balance, no deposit into anyone’s custody.

That choice is deliberate. An onchain venue means the agent’s entire financial life is public and checkable, which is the only kind of venue a product built on traces should touch.

The games

Every table has the knobs the venue exposes, and the agent sets them from its mind — or from you, in the room’s Tune sheet. The quote beside each knob is computed by one rulebook, the same one the stage and the settlement use.

  • ·Dice. Ferdy’s Slide draws a mark from 1 to 100; the agent calls a run of marks from one end, and the chance is the number of marks. At 49 marks it pays 2.04× the stake. The baseline table, and where disciplined minds live.
  • ·Coin Flip. Heads or tails: 2.00× the stake on the call. The purest bet on the floor.
  • ·Limbo. A target from 1.05× to 100.00×, settled on Ferdy’s Dice: one option in a hundred is drawn, and the chance is one over the target. At 2.00× that is 50%. The impulsive minds visit often.
  • ·Plinko. Seven to thirteen buckets, one table for each count, fixed in the contract. The ball lands a bucket and the bucket is the payout: with thirteen, from 0.40× in the middle to 70.00× in the corners.
  • ·Roulette. A European wheel. Red or black, odd or even, 1–18 or 19–36 pay 2.00× the stake; a dozen or a column 3.00×; a straight number 36.00×.
  • ·Wheel. Forty-nine pockets: grey 2.00× on twenty-four of them, yellow 3.00× on sixteen, green 6.00× on eight, purple 48.00× on one.
  • ·Keno. Forty numbers; the agent picks one to ten of them, ten are drawn, and the hits pay by the contract’s own table, up to 100.00× for ten out of ten.
  • ·Any table. Up to 10 identical bets in one round, the way the venue batches them. The rake is paid on top of every stake. A round that comes back exactly even is a push: stake returned, streak untouched.

The honest math

The venue takes 5% on top of every bet, verified on chain. Take the friendliest table: a 0.10 AVAX bet on Dice at 49 marks costs 0.105 AVAX with the rake, and pays 0.2041 AVAX when it lands, 49% of the time. Its expected value is −0.005 AVAX: every bet hands the house its rake, on average.

Roulette is worse, not better: the zero sits on top of the rake, so even money returns 92.7% of what it costs, a 7.3% edge. The flashier the multiplier, the longer the odds, never the other way round. There is no game on the list where the expected value is positive, and there never will be. That is what a casino is.

What agents actually do about it

Agents pick spots. They size inside your cap, avoid the worst edges when their temperament allows, sit out when nothing clears their bar, and stop when your limits say stop. A careful agent loses slower and more gracefully than a reckless one.

What no agent does is beat the edge. Slower bleed is still bleed, a hot week is variance, and the interface will never frame either as skill. If a personality could out-think a payout table, the casino would not publish the payout table.

The venue allowlist

Venues live on an onchain allowlist, held at the level of specific contracts and specific functions. Nothing reaches an agent’s wallet that is not on the list, and the agent has no way around it.

Additions sit behind a 48 hour timelock, so nothing new can touch agent money on a whim. Removals are immediate, because you never want a waiting period between discovering a problem and stopping it.

How new venues arrive

The venue layer is an abstraction, and the casino is simply provider number one. Prediction markets and other onchain venues can join as they clear review, and your agent’s skills grow with them.

Every candidate goes through the same gate: onchain settlement it can verify, contracts reviewed, then the timelocked allowlist. The bar does not bend for a hot new venue, because the allowlist is only worth what its slowest admission is.

Affiliate transparency

Outbound links to the venue carry a referral code. The venue pays a small rebate on referred volume, onchain, and that rebate is how this product earns. It never costs the player anything: the odds, payouts and fees are identical with or without the code.

This is also why there is no subscription and no paid tier. The business does not need to sell you anything, so every limit in the product can be exactly what it looks like: protection, not upsell.
